TALLADEGA, Alabama - Only at 'Dega.
The Aaron's 499 Dream Weekend officially kicked off Friday night at the Talladega Superspeedway, with a parade of drivers, a moon pie eating contest and barbecue sauce wrestling.
The new event, "The Big One on the Blvd.," was added to the weekend as an opportunity for fans to experience the "wild side of the track's infamous infield."
The barbecue sauce wrestling match--billed as the world's first--was a definite fan favorite.
The events took place in and around Talladega Blvd. in the track's infield, which is especially known for its party atmosphere.
