First visit to Heim Barbecue (Fort Worth, TX)

Back in May, I paid my first visit to Heim Barbecue. Arrived around opening time. After about an hour in line in light rain, I made it to the window just before they ran out of brisket. They were already out of burnt ends & pork ribs. Ordered some chopped-beef sandwiches, pulled pork, jalapeno-cheddar sausage, twice-baked-potato salad, & kettle chips. One of the others in my group ordered banana pudding. Had a nice time meeting Jason Ulum, who was behind me in line & who knows his Texas BBQ & craft beer. And I enjoyed meeting the Heims. Based on the line, seems word is out about them in Cowtown. Some pics (more to come):

A smallish campaign with a homemade list would not be likely to yield much of a result. To achieve anything worthwhile, a much more aggressive effort is needed. Then, the age-old value analysis applies: projected earnings = margin on total projected sales - cost of campaign.
