Yesterday's brisket winner is...

My mom. More than 50 people submitted a prediction for the Texas-Oklahoma game (not too shabby for a giveaway that lasted little more than 1 day), in hopes of winning a free whole brisket smoked by John Mueller, and my mom's 27-21 was the closest (just 2 total points off the final score - I've checked all submissions twice, but if I've overlooked a better prediction, just LMK). Before anyone cries foul, check the time of her prediction. She submitted before kickoff. However, she's graciously declining so that someone in Texas can enjoy it (Gaveeno, where are you?). Most importantly, huge thanks to John for making this possible.

Speaking of my mom, last night she whipped up a big batch of pulled pork. Wrapped a big, bone-in pork roast, cooked it in the oven for 7 hours, took it out and pulled it piece by piece with a fork, and then mixed in Salt Lick sauce and SuckleBusters Spicy Peach sauce. 2 Texas sauces in an Alabama pulled-pork dish. I approve.
