Man Up's first attempt at smoking a brisket

Dry rub and marinade have just been added to the 10.33-pound brisket I bought yesterday. Gonna let it soak until tomorrow morning and then christen Brad's smoker. Gonna smoke it all day and have for dinner tomorrow night. How this will turn out is anyone's guess. Seriously, folks, it's a crapshoot. If it turns out well, look for a post raving about it. If it doesn't, and we have unedible confirmation that we should leave this to the professionals, look for this post to be deleted so that there's no evidence that we even tried.

The home-cooked brisket was indeed amazing and beyond scorable. Drew, Brad and co took manning up to a whole new level: Doing it yourself...and doing it meticulously well, I might add!

Proving once again that homecooking really is better in so many cases.

Thanks for your efforts men. Cheers!
