Texas BBQ at a wedding reception?

Have any of you (1) had Texas BBQ at your wedding reception and/or (2) had Texas BBQ at someone else's wedding reception? If so, who catered it?

After my ordination to permanent deacon with the church we had BBQ at the lunch/reception. Does that count?

After my ordination we had Longhorn BBQ in Cedar Hill do the catering. Long before I really got in to what good BBQ really is and how it taste. They did an adequate job but I would say if I were to do it all again I would go a different route. Probably Baker's Ribs or someone of that calibre. I am located in Dallas, TX.

only chain bbq joints. I've been to a wedding with Bill Millers catered and another with Dickey's catered.

We did, from Dagar's Catering. This was 11.5 yrs ago, though, so I was not as up on the Austin food scene (and you weren't around for me to consult!).

BTW, I've been to one wedding reception with Texas BBQ. Catered by The Salt Lick.

North Main BBQ in Euless catered our 25th wedding anniversary party. That's as close as I can get. oh, and the leftover ribs are my avatar photo! They warmed up very nicely with a short microwave burst.

Hate to make it a ad for our company, but we do weddings a few times a month and more than half of them are Texas BBQ. Food is authentic & buffets are beautiful. From those menus we add on salads, and other out-of-state-visitor friendly menu items. Texas BBQ is a solid wedding receiption choice and fits a casual event well. J-BAR-H Texas Catering.

Wife and I had Dagar's as well (almost 5 years ago) and it was fantastic. The food was great - cannot stress that enough / we still get compliments to this day - and the fine folks at Dagar's worked with us on price (1/2 of any other catering place) and the serving of the meal (family style) to enable us to have a really amazing wedding reception.

My son had his wedding rehearsal dinnet at Southside Market in Elgin in 2004. It was great!

Many of my friends have just had little pastries, sandwiches and drinks at their receptions. One of my guy friends decided to blow that stereotype out of the water. He brought in a full Brazilian BBQ. I didn't even know those places catered! We had all-you-can-eat meat all night and it was amazing.

Last week, I was attending a close friend’s wedding at the amazing event venue Atlanta. It was an enjoyable event and we all had a great time. They did serve Texas BBQ at the reception, and it was really delicious. Though I don’t know about the caterer and didn’t bother to find out either.
