Finally getting around to posting pics from my June public Texas Q Tours trip. First stop of the day was lunch at Hwy 29 BBQ (Bertram, TX). Started the day with s smattering of brisket, sausage, pork ribs, slaw, beans, and potato salad, before touring the pits. More pics to come.

June 27 Texas Q Tours public tour!

Time to announce our third Texas Q Tours public Saturday tour of 2015! Our first is heading north. The second is heading south. For the third, we're going west, young man! On Saturday, June 27, we're off an all-inclusive day of BBQ, vodka, & craft beer. Here's the itinerary (subject to change):

Hwy 29 BBQ (BBQ & pit tour)
Opie's Barbecue (BBQ & pit tour)
Deep Eddy Vodka (tasting)
Twisted X Brewing Company (tasting)
Smokey Denmark's BBQ (BBQ)

Your ticket includes everything listed above and covers transportation & guide. There is no need for you to spend any money on the trip, unless you decide to make additional purchases at any of the stops. You hop on the van, relax, and we cart you around. Trip should depart Austin around 10:00 AM and return around 5:30 PM. Must be 21 or older to purchase. No refunds. If you have questions, email us. 

May 31 Texas Q Tours public trip!

The itinerary is set for our May public Texas Q Tours trip! On, Saturday, May 31, we're heading off on a 4-stop trip! You eat & drink. We drive. It's a great way to kick off the summer. Here's what's on tap:

Stop 1: Royers Pie Haven (Austin) - breakfast & drink
Stop 2: Hwy 29 BBQ (Bertram) - meal & pit tour
Stop 3: Inks Lake State Park (walking, lounging, and/or swimming) 
Stop 4: Opie's Barbecue (Spicewood) - meal & pit tour 

The trip will depart around 9:30 AM and should return around 5:00 PM. As always, tickets are all-inclusive, non-refundable, transferable. Itinerary subject to change. Each ticket is $100. Hwy 29 BBQ opens in Bertram

Via Twitter, I learned Saturday that Hwy 29 BBQ has opened in Bertram. Here are a couple of pics that they've tweeted. Located at 110 West Hwy 29. Open Wed-Sun, from 11AM until they sell out. For more pics and info, check out their Twitter page. No website.
