Edgar Black has passed away.

I learned today that Edgar Black, the patriarch of Black's Barbecue, passed away Friday, at home and surrounded by his family. Black's announced his death via Twitter/Instagram a little while ago. I was fortunate to have met Mr. Black, and I send my sincere condolences to his family. Rest in peace.

Today, I begin announcing the BBQ joints that will have a booth at this year's 6th annual Gettin' Sauced! festival. Black's Barbecue (Lockhart, TX) has been with us since the very beginning, and we're thrilled they are joining us yet again this year! We're excited to announce the date & itinerary for our next all-inclusive public tour! Saturday, August 15, we're making stops in Taylor, Lockhart, & Austin. Round trip from Austin with an ETD of 9:30 AM. What's on tap? Breakfast, BBQ, more BBQ, craft beer, & coffee/snacks. Here's the itinerary (subject to change):
