Best BBQ in San Angelo?

Continuing with my list of Texas cities, by decreasing order of population, we've arrived at San Angelo. What's the best BBQ joint in town?

First visit to the original Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q (Leon Springs, TX)

Friday night, I paid my first visit to the original Rudy's in Leon Springs. After walking around and taking some pictures, we got a to-go order from the takeaway section in the back. Pics of the food to come, but here are the pics from the restaurant.

Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que (San Angelo, TX) has closed.

Wow, I am way late on this, but I only today heard the news (from faithful reader Joe Wagner). Due to a fire that started in the pit (back in early March), Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que in San Angelo has closed. It will not reopen. I am so sorry for their loss and wish Mr. Zesch and all of the Old Time Pit family nothing but the best.
