Garden & Gun's Ultimate BBQ Bracket
It's NCAA tournament time, and that usually means a BBQ bracket emerges somewhere. Heck, I published one once...and might again. For now, check out the Ultimate BBQ Bracket from the magazine Garden & Gun. Of the 32 Southern BBQ joints in the bracket, 4 hail from Texas: Pecan Lodge, Franklin Barbecue, la Barbecue, & Kreuz Market. You can vote once per day. Round 1 voting ends March 20 at 10PM ET.

la Barbecue brick-&-mortar in the works
Hat tip to Eater Austin for reporting la Barbecue is planning to open a brick-&-mortar spot on South Congress Avenue. Location & expected opening date TBA.

Last month, I posted about la Barbecue's move to a food-trailer park a few blocks south. Today's their first day at the new location: Good Life Food Park, 902 E. Cesar Chavez.

la Barbecue moving locations in August
Yesterday morning, the first stop on my 6-stop Texas Q Tours trip was la Barbecue. Just before we arrvived, la Barbecue announced via Twitter they are moving locations in August: "We will be Moving in August to Good Life Food Park 902 E. Cesar Chavez!! Bigger spot for a possible large 3rd pit coming soon!!" Here's the website for Good Life Food Park.

Birthday BBQ bash!!!
I ended a busy week with a 12-hour day on campus yesterday and could probably have slept 'til dinner tonight. No time to rest, though, because we have a private Texas Q Tours trip today to celebrate the birthday of one of our favorite followers. It's an 18-person, 5-stop trip that is sure to be a great time.
