Friday night, I attended the season-opening football game at Lake Travis High School. The concession stand served a pulled-pork sandwich, so I snagged one. The sandwich was from Schmidt Family Barbecue, located in Bee Cave, just a few miles from the stadium.

So excited to announce Schmidt Family Barbecue will have a booth at this year's 5th annual Gettin' Sauced! festival! This is the first time SFB has joined us (which is not surprising, since they opened within the last year!), and we are thrilled to have the Bee Cave joint aboard. As he is with every BBQ-joint opening in the Austin area, our man Jacob Reach was ready to go when the doors opened at Schmidt Family Barbecue (Bee Cave, TX). Getting closer to the opening of Schmidt Family Barbecue. Last June, I posted of their plans to open for business. Latest word from them is a mid-October opening.
