1st visit to Kerlin BBQ (Austin, TX)

A few Saturdays ago, Kerlin BBQ was the first of 4 BBQ stops of the day. It was my first visit to the East Austin trailer that is fairly new to the Austin BBQ scene. On the tray: brisket, pulled pork, pork ribs, creamed corn, jalapenos, house-made pickles, onions, sauce, and bread.

June 28 Texas Q Tours trip!

The itinerary is set for our June public Texas Q Tours trip! On, Saturday, June 28, we're staying right here in Austin for a  3-stop trip! You eat & drink. We drive. And, since it's late June, you know it's gonna be hot; so, for the first time, this tour includes a water activity. Here's the itinerary:

Stop #1: Kerlin BBQ
Stop #2: Texas Rowing Center - 1-hour, guided tour of Town lake, with choice of watercraft
Stop #3: la Barbecue 

The trip will depart around 10:30 AM and conclude no later than 3:30 PM. As always, tickets are all-inclusive, non-refundable, transferable. Itinerary subject to change. Each ticket is $100. Kerlin BBQ open in Austin

Kerlin BBQ is now open for business at 1700 E. Cesar Chavez in Austin, TX. Smoked with pecan wood, Kerlin serves Angus brisket, pork spare ribs, pork shoulder, sausage, & shopped beef. House-made blue cheese slaw, house-made pickles, & sweet and sour jalapenos.  Open Thursday thru Sunday from 11-3 (or until sold out). Free beer on the weekends. Kerlin BBQ set to open in Austin

Got a Twitter follow yesterday from @KerlinBBQ. Looked into it and found out it's a soon-to-open BBQ trailer (I think it's a trailer. Can't tell exactly.) in East Austin. Their Facebook page says they will be located at 1700 E. Cesar Chavez and that the grand opening will be later this month. Here's their website.
