Event Announcement: Barbecue on the Pedernales (LBJ Ranch, Stonewall, TX)

What: Barbecue on the Pedernales

When: Saturday, October 23, 2010, 4-9 PM

Where: LBJ Ranch (Stonewall, TX)

More information (cut and pasted from here): The Friends of the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park invite you to the third annual "Barbeque on the Pedernales," celebrating the rich history that occurred on the LBJ Ranch throughout the 1960's. Just as President and Mrs. Johnson welcomed hundreds of guests to the oak grove along river's edge, so do we hope you'll join us as we re-create an event from the past. You'll have the opportunity to experience the ranch in the late afternoon and early evening as former special guests of the President would have enjoyed the site.

The live oak shaded air will fill with the sounds of the Bret Graham Band as you enjoy the aroma of Texas barbeque drifting through the crowd. LBJ Library Director Mark Updegrove will take a humorous look at the Rancher-President who loved nothing better than welcoming guests from around the world to their beloved LBJ Ranch. The event begins at 4:00 PM and continues into the evening. The BBQ dinner will be prepared on-site by Riley's from Blanco.

You may register online by clicking: Register Online. Or you may print out, complete and send the registration form via US Mail by clicking Mail-in Registration Form.
