Let's seed our Austin BBQ bracket!

Back in early 2012, I organized a USA BBQ Bracket. Round by round, readers picked between two U.S. cities, in a head-to-head BBQ battle. It started with 64 cities, and it ended with just 1: Austin, Texas. The NCAA Final Four starts tomorrow, so I guess brackets are just on my mind. So, I'm launching a bracket for the best BBQ in Austin. Let me know if my list below is missing any Austin BBQ joint(s). As of now, 47 BBQ joints are listed. As for seeding, you have until NEXT FRIDAY to let me know (email me or leave as a comment to the post) your favorite Austin BBQ joints. You can also let us know via Twitter and/or Facebook. Send as few or as many as you want, but you must rank them. Using your rankings and, if necessary, other tools (e.g. voting in our previous Readers' Choice Awards, Google ranking, Yelp ranking, Urbanspoon ranking), I will seed the joints and then launch the voting.

Revolution BBQ (the dark horse)
Bowie BBQ (the place in Whole Foods downtown)

12th
Dickeys
Lone Star BBQ
Schmidt Family (yeah yeah, not in Austin, but you always need a 12 upset and they have the lean brisket to bring it)
Chief's BBQ

*- never been there

You have to include the Mueller HEB. Believe it or not, it's legit 'cue.

Yep, didn't think of that one. Also Bowie BBQ at Whole Foods. Thanks, Jimmy.
