Simple question: Who serves the best sausage in Texas?

For me it has to be Kruez, the jalapeño cheese sausage. I love it even more because you don't have a knife to cut it with.

Also I would have to give a shout out to Southside Meat Market, not because I think it is the very best, but because you can buy it at H.E.B. now. that is far and away the best sausage you can buy at a grocery store.

Rudy's BBQ has the best sausage in Texas. Maybe it's the northerner in me, but I'm not a sausage guy, but love their Hottie.

Jalapeno cheese sausage at Kreuz. My favorite, by far.

Oh good heavens, it's Black's or nothing for me. I like others, but c'mon...

Longoria's in Everman Texas. Incredible brisket sausage with just the right seasonings. I've tried to duplicate it at home many times....and failed each time.

Longoria's in Everman. Outstanding.

I've said it before, but it's worth repeating. This place smokes their brisket and while they slice it, they gather up the pieces, grind it, season it and smoke it as sausage.

So basically seasoned twice and smoked twice.

I was a skeptic, but Pappas BBQ has the best. Goode is second.

Pappas keeps it simple. No flair, rich flavors.

City Market in Luling. Loose, spicy, casing that snaps and drips down your arm... Awesome.

Haven't found better than Louie Mueller's, myself.
