With college football well underway, I'm curious what college town you pick for BBQ. Austin? Memphis? Kansas City? New York City? Oklahoma City? Dallas? Atlanta? Tuscaloosa? Birmingham? Nashville? Norman? Houston? Raleigh?
Whether you pick based on the # of BBQ joints in the town or on the quality of even 1 joint in the town, what's your pick for best college town for BBQ?

Drew I'm more interested in your definition of a college town. I would think of a college town as Athens, Georgia; College Station, TX; Notre Dame, IN, etc...
Just any town with a college in it? Then it would easily be Austin.
A town that is around because a college is in it? I would give an equal vote to Stephenville, TX and College Station, TX. Both have good bbq.

If there is any answer other than Austin, then there may not be hope for the rest of humanity. 50 mile radius = none better.
Umm... Austin!
so I am late responding to this...but I will consider Memphis a basketball college town. (notice I'm not mentioning football). That being said...anyone who has been here has to know has huge BBQ is. There are so many different BBQ places (BBQ Shop, Central BBQ, Rendezvous, Blue City Cafe, Commissary, Interstate, Neely's, Cozy Corner, Corky's, Top's, etc. Memphis wins!
