What's the best (in this case, the better) BBQ in Elgin?

The small town of Elgin, TX, is home to 2 popular BBQ joints: Meyer's Elgin Smokehouse and Southside Market. Which do you prefer?

Anonymous said...: I grew up in Elgin and the best BBQ was from Crosstown, the owner made the best sausage, brisket and ribs. Unfortunately he passed away a few years back and so did the business. Crosstown is where the locals ate at. I haven't had BBQ in my hometown since crosstown went out of business. In this case neither are that good.; January 13, 2012 at 4:52 PM
