Texas BBQ Rising Stars
Who are the up-and-coming Texas BBQ pitmasters? The tried-and-true BBQ joints that have been around for generations get due respect and due press. But what newcomers are onto something? There are so many places we haven't hit up, so I know there are rising stars out there that I don't know about. Who are they?

Definitely Joseph's River Port BBQ in jefferson,TX. Absolutely delicious I could eat it for every meal.

How do you feel about guys in grocery store parking lots with a smoker on a trailer? In east Fort Worth, I have seen a few -- I would be willing to take one for the team and try a couple.
Blue Moon: I feel good about them! We're all about trailer food here in Austin, so let us know what you find.
If you get up to the Metroplex, you should try Smokey's on Lancaster in Fort Worth and Longoria's in Everman. Longoria's uses brisket for everything. They serve it three ways: 1) Your traditional brisket. 2) They season and smoke it, then grind it up and make burgers out of it. And finally my favorite, while slicing or chopping the brisket, they gather up the scraps and grind it up, season it and make sausage out of it.
It truly is a must have.
