First Q-Card Giveaway

The Q Card has only been for sale for a couple of days, but I say it's not too soon to do a little giveaway. So, let's do one.

A couple of weeks ago, a cable-tv show (currently airing new episodes) mentioned (with product placement) a Texas BBQ joint. One free Q Card to the first person who can tell me both (a) the name of the cable-tv show & (b) the name of the BBQ joint. Submit your answers via comments below this post.

Modern Family & Stubbs BBQ

Before I start telling ppl they're incorrect, I should acknowledge the possibility that more than 1 cable-tv has, in the past couple of weeks, mentioned a Texas BBQ joint. So, if I tell you you're wrong, and you can prove that you're right, you get a Q Card, too.

With that said, Todd, you're incorrect!

Friday Night Lights and Ray's BBQ!!!!

Ahh! Yes, FNL (the best show on the planet) did mention Ray's, but, alas, NBC isn't cable!!!

Friday Night Lights showed the same episodes on DirectTV earlier. you statement of a "few weeks ago" leads me to believe anytime in the past. Thus when that episode premiered on DirectTV (a cable channel, which I am so happy to have as I already watched the whole season)and mentioned BBQ place in Texas in the past, does it not count?

The post specified "a couple of weeks ago."

Don't you have a law degree, surely any good lawyer could argue how vague "a couple" is, and define it as any point in the past right?
But seriously I hope you post the answer. I had a feeling maybe it was much easier than it should be and the answer is something on Food Network. In which case I vote for "Will Work for Food" and Louie Mueller. Although it was a repeat when it was on 3 weeks ago, as the episode was a year old.

I have a law degree too. Want me to argue for FNL as well?

Matk: I didn't know that. Send me verification, and you've got yourself a free card. Either way, contest still open, b/c that's not the one I was thinking of.

Martin: Yes, by all means. Should be fun, considering the question clearly states that a cable-tv show made the mention within the past couple of weeks!

I saw it on twitter @ShedBBQ_Austin, no clue if it was in the last few weeks :)

I already bought a card, so just keep for someone that gets it for real.

Ha. Very well. Speaking of The Shed, Brad and I had some huge pulled-pork sandwiches there on Thurs nite. Also, as we will for any other Q-Card affiliate that wants to have one, we'll be doing a Q-Card launch party at The Shed, so stay tuned for details.
