Saturday, January 29, 2011: Snow's BBQ (Lexington, TX)

Our first big outing of the new year was a trip to Snow's BBQ in Lexington and City Meat Market in Giddings. Snow's was the first of our two stops, and we arrived around 9:15 a.m. The crowd was quite big, and food soon ran low, but fortunately our party of 18 got through the line before the situation got dire. We had several first timers with us, and they all seemed to love it. Proprietor Kerry Bexley was out of town that day, so we didn't get to introduce him to the newbies, but Tootsie and the rest managed just fine. No surprise, the brisket & pork shoulder were the biggest hits. I ordered brisket, pork shoulder, & extra chicken, figuring that many wouldn't order chicken but would be glad they tried it. They didn't, & they were. Here are the first few pics. More on the way.

BBQ from Texas, how much can a Texan stuck in the snow take! It looks heavenly, keep up the search for the best. What a great gig!
